Listen up! These are the three snacks I must always have on hand to control my cravings and satisfy my taste buds when I'm looking for something to munch on. Skinny Pop, Coconut Rolls, and Halo Top Ice Cream!
Let's be real, no one is perfect. We all get cravings from time to time and find ourselves reaching into our kitchen cabinets, pantries, and refrigerators looking for something to eat. We know we are not actually hungry but our brain is telling us that we want the taste and the satisfaction that comes along when you bite into that gooey chocolate brownie. Yes, you are not alone.
Luckily, I have found these three snacks that are my staples and go to munchies whenever I get that feeling. Keeping these foods stocked are essential to helping me stay on track, keep my calories low, belly full and taste buds happy.
First on my list is good ol' Skinny Pop! Whats not to love?! At 39 calories a cup, a bowl full of popcorn has never looked so good. I love this as a snack when I know I'm searching for food to keep my hands busy while sitting still and watching a movie or even sometimes reading a book. I get in those moods sometimes where I don't want to think about what I am eating I just want to reach into a bag and be satisfied. Mindless eating can be a bad habit, but a low cal snack like this can help keep it in check!
Next on my list are Coconut Crispy Rolls! These are perfect when I am craving a chip or cracker-esque snack to eat. They have just a hint of sweetness with a crispy flaky goodness all combine in one. The coconut flavor is not overwhelming for those of you who may not be a fan, but the health and skin benefits of coconut are great! I can pop a few of these in my mouth knowing I am doing my body a favor while saying yes to my cravings.
Lastly is Halo Top ice cream! If you have not tried this STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND GO TO THE STORE NOW! A good friend of mine recently informed me of Halo Top and I haven't looked back. It is an amazing ice-cream brand that can be found at your Whole Foods with extremely low calories. For example, the Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Mint Chip are only 240 calories for the WHOLE PINT! Thats right! You can eat straight to the bottom of the pint without a single drop of guilt! They have a variety of flavors including chocolate, smores, and cookie dough. I use these ice creams in all of my milkshakes to keep the calories down and the flavors up!
