French Onion Chicken
Quick-fix, one pan, 5 ingredient chicken! Could this recipe be any better!? You can have dinner ready in 20 minutes with these five ingredients and have your family thinking they are dining at a 5-star restaurant! Easy on time, budget, and dishes.

Their is so much flavor in this dish! A traditional french onion is made using swiss cheese, however, provolone is my favorite, so I switched it up a bit and made mine with provolone! You can make yours with whichever cheese you prefer of course.
French Onion Chicken
Cook Time: Approx. 20 min | Servings: 2 | Calories per serving: ~297 cals
Ingredients:
2 thin sliced chicken breasts (5 oz each)
1 package of Knorr French Onion Soup Mix
1 cup chicken broth
2 slices of provolone or swiss cheese (I prefer provolone)
2 tbsp french fried onions by french's
1 tsp olive oil
Season the chicken breast with 1 tsp per each chicken of the Knorr french onion mix.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add the chicken into the skillet and cook for about 3 minutes on each side or until light golden brown.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet with the chicken fond add the cup of chicken broth and the rest of the Knorr soup mix. Whisk until the mix is dissolved and throughly combined and scrape the chicken bits up from the bottom of the pan.
Add the chicken breasts back in and cover the skillet. Turn the heat to medium low, cooking for about 6 minutes (or until chicken is cooked all the way through), flipping the chicken breast over half way through.
Add a slice of provolone to the top of each chicken breast. Re-cover the skillet until cheese is melted, about 1 minute.
Plate each chicken and top with 1 tbsp of french fried onions and spoon sauce from the pan over each chicken. Serve and enjoy!
